We are excited to bring you our latest release—SanerNow 6.3. This release offers exciting new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
What’s New in SanerNow 6.3
New Features
- Manage Database Configuration Compliance: SanerNow 6.3 introduces a new feature in SanerNow CM (Compliance Management) that allows you to apply benchmarks to database applications in your infrastructure with a few clicks.
- Intuitive User Interface in SanerNow Tools: In SanerNow 6.3, we have redesigned the user interface to deliver a more intuitive, efficient, and user-centric experience across SanerNow tools. At the same time, we have introduced an intuitive user interface with pre-defined templates and visual cues to help you create and apply benchmarks in SanerNow CM.
- Remediation Job Integration for Security and Non-Security Patches: You no longer need to create separate remediation jobs for security and non-security patches. SanerNow 6.3 introduces a new feature in SanerNow PM (Patch Management) that lists all the security, non-security, and feature upgrade patches together on a single page and allows you to create a remediation job to include security and non-security patches. Additionally, we have introduced new filters in SanerNow PM that help you categorize patches into Operating System, Third-Party, and Feature Updates. We have also introduced a new filter to help you sort patches based on the Detection Date and Released Date.
- Configuration Compliance Support for AIX Devices: With SanerNow 6.3, you can apply compliance benchmarks to AIX devices using SanerNow CM (Compliance Management).
- Complete Visibility into Patching Jobs: With SanerNow 6.3, you can view the LIVE status of a patching job on the SanerNow web console without refreshing the page. This functionality is available for jobs and rules created in SanerNow PM (Patch Management) and CM (Compliance Management). You can view the live patching status for each asset you selected while creating a job or rule, providing complete clarity to help you visualize patching activity.
Enhancements
- Perform Faster Network Scans: In SanerNow 6.3, we have significantly enhanced the SanerNow Network Scanner to improve detection and perform network scans faster. System administrators can now choose to perform a TCP or a TCP&UDP scan on the devices in their infrastructure using the SanerNow Network Scanner.
- View Remediation Job and Rule Owner: You can now view the user details of who created the Remediation job or rule in SanerNow PM and CM on the status page.
- Enhanced Search Query in SanerNow Tools: You can search for Applications, Devices, Services, Processes, and Ports in SanerNow using the revamped search query. The search query will search for the specified asset across all the devices in the account and display all the hosts’ details where the asset exists.
- View Account-specific Details on the SanerNow Organization Unified Dashboard: We have enhanced the SanerNow Organization Unified Dashboard to display account-wise information in the Device Universe section of the Organization Dashboard. You can download all the information presented in the Device Universe section in the Organization Dashboard into a CSV file
- Improved Job/Rule Mail Notifications: We have enhanced the email notifications triggered during the job and rule creation in SanerNow PM and CM to provide detailed information on the patch selected, the number of devices on which the patch is getting applied, and the overall status of the job/rule.
- Increased Visibility into Asset Details During Automation Rule Creation: We have introduced two new columns, ‘Family’ and ‘Reboot,’ on the automation page in SanerNow PM (Patch Management) to help you sort assets while creating an automation rule. The ‘Reboot’ column displays if patching an asset requires a reboot, while the ‘Family’ column displays the operating system family to which the asset belongs.
- Identify Offline Devices on the Managed Device page: The Managed Device page now includes a new filter that helps you identify offline devices that have not been scanned in the past seven days. Using this filter, you can quickly isolate offline devices and take corrective action to bring them online, helping you keep your devices secure.
